Sound Check

One of the things a large audio system requires is sound checks. You have to take a few minutes and have a quick rehearsal every week for any of the new elements. At CLA we do that on Wednesday night at the end of choir rehearsal. So for 20 minutes, the band and choir are on the platform praising the Lord and singing. Those sound checks are invaluable to a director. You get to see where key elements are positioned for video shots. Audio can tweak down the trumpets, or lighting can make sure there is a light on the soloist. Most of all you begin to feel the music. Determine the pace, and start creating shots in your mind.

This is the Plan ahead,
