One of the things you try to do with
media in a church, is to learn from those
who have done it already. Not that we become
a cookie cutter of some other church, but we
learned what worked and what did not. Then
we put together our plan. Why reinvent the
wheel when many already have.
That continues as we look for new ways to
push the word of God to the people, and
become more effective ministers of what He
has blessed us with. We can't sit on our
laurels and expect to continue to be a
blessing.
When I have a chance to be off on a Sunday, I
always try to get to a different church. If
I am going to be in a particular area, I will
try and set up a meeting with a local
churches tech director. But most of all, I
learn by visiting their websites. A website
is a outward mirror of what the church and
the ministries are doing. If I see something
intriguing, I may give them a call and ask a
few questions.
That is one of the reasons I always have a
website of the week in the menu to the left.
These are just a few sites that I have found
fascinating by the way they are doing media
ministry or ministry in general.
So take a moment and check them out. And if
you ever come across an interesting church
site while surfing the web, send me a link.
I would love to see how their wheels turn.
