For the Fun of It

Knock, knock. (Who's there?)Boo! (Boo who?)It's alright, don't cry. That is a favorite joke of my daughter. I love it when she tells it, and gets this little giggle after the punch line. It is simple but always gives me a smile. It reminds me that it is good to be childlike. It is good to have fun, and it is good to laugh."For the fun of it," here are a few responses to last week's message:

>>>I have always believed that when people are truly operating in their God-given gifts, not filling a job out of guilt, obligation, or because no one else will do it, it is truly a joy! I love serving, I feel that I was born to do this, so it's not a chore to get up early on a Sunday morning or be at church for 4-5 hours. If and when I think it is a drudgery (I cannot even imagine this!), I will be the first to step down and let someone else take my place. I will be praying for all of the team that they will view serving in the media ministry as a privilege and not a duty or a chore. We GET to do camera work or sound work, not we HAVE to do it!

>>>I'm sorry to hear that the Media teams are feeling that it is not fun? I have a blast and it seems we all have a good time. We have our stressful moments but that goes with what it is all about-pulling together, serving Him. I always tell people that the Media Ministry is great to volunteer for. We have fun with each other ... We support each other and I have always felt appreciated. Are we doing enough to praise each other? How about a little fun harmless humor? Try helping out for Psalm 150 nights or the many other needs that arise. They're not as intense, and its great to work with others you may not know. It will give you a new look at your servitude for the King. Isn't that what it's all about anyway? Serving Him? Oh what joy! So come on ...let's have fun!

What makes you laugh? What do you have fun doing? Why is serving on the Media Team fun for you? Are you having fun serving the Lord?
