The Rising Decline

I just saw an article that claimed that the reason viewership is down for the major networks is because of DVR's?????

Guess what, it used to be VCR's then computers, then cable. The funny thing is, considering the fact that there are more people in the US today with TVs, and more people with more than one TV than there were 20 years ago, and more people with DVR's, VCR's and computers, I guarantee that the major networks have more viewers than they ever have in their history. The technology is just not there to count it yet.

It all comes down to the fact that when it comes to technology, you can not compare it to the past. It must be evaluated in the present and entertained for the future.

So essentially, when it comes to technology, there will always be a rising decline, because there will never be an apples to apples comparison.
