What's the Point?

(the following is a post from a friend and fellow servant)

Why do I serve in the media ministry? Some days, I asked myself that question. Other times, I could not wait to get to the booth. But the question is—what is the point of serving, and why in media?

There is a video called 212° which talks about water being hot at 211 degrees but boiling at 212 degrees. At 212 degrees water is turned to steam; steam can move a train. At 211 degrees GOD can use me, but at 212 degrees GOD can use me to move the world!
My time in media has challenged me to grow and to serve the LORD to the best of my ability. It’s not about image or DVDs, it’s about the LORD. I do not know exactly how GOD has used my time in media, but I do know that that my serving HIM is what matters most. So I missed that shot or it was bad. The point is that I did my best and, more importantly, that I let GOD use me for HIS glory.

As I step down from Director of Team B, I have sorrow but joy as I know that I have been called to follow in a different direction for now. And the point is that I let GOD use me for HIS glory. So as I leave, I request that the media department be 212 degrees and let GOD use them to move the world! And remember: Love GOD, Love People, Change the World!

GOD bless,
Jeff Powell
