SIZZLING!

Anyone else SIZZLING? I mean H-O-T, HOT! OK we all are. But I’m not really talking about the temperature outside. I’m talking about your walk with Christ. Is the Spirit burning inside you with a passion to see the lost come to the knowledge of the saving Grace of Jesus Christ? What are you doing to stoke that fire?

We at CLA have been tasked to Love God, Love People, Change the World. Not just Love God but all three. If we are just loving God, we are being selfish and not growing and our fire will soon be extinguished by the rains. If we just love on other people, we are headed in the right direction, but our fire still lacks the intensity to sizzle and melt the frozen hearts of the lost. It is not until we change the world that our fire is burning strong and bright. I mean forest fire strong (with all respect to those in California). Volcanic bright. To the point that the fire is erupting from you.

I think it is time that we all turn the heat up in our spiritual lives. Change the World with our fire. So that the lost, our family and our friends, will be warmed by the blaze and led through the darkness.

For if we don’t, there is someone who will. A deceiver, who is ready to show them the sizzling…fiery… depths. (No air conditioners or tall glasses of lemonade available.)
